In this handout (that you already read as pre-reading prior to this semester), we explored the core principles of sensemaking, how to benchmark this critical skill, and practical tools to enhance your awareness and proficiency in sensemaking. This handout delves into the seven key principles, multi-dimensional awareness, the three essential meta-questions, and the three fundamental leadership perspectives. In this (NEW) handout, we explored the concept of “working with assumptions and interpretations”, and underscored the dangers and pitfalls of treating our assumptions as facts and arguing our point based on our perspectives and conclusions. We introduced the “Ladder of Inference” framework, and learned a practical method for “checking our assumptions.” [This is a Google Doc set to "View Only" you will need to download as a Word doc to your computer for a local copy.]
This (NEW) handout provides several approaches to help prevent conflicts within your team and organization as well as best practices for managing conflict when it arises. It also weaves in several other practices (techniques) you've learned in other parts of this management and leadership training.

You are encouraged to attend the optional "Open Office Hours" to bring your questions, brainstorm implementation ideas, and receive individualized guidance and coaching. Feel free to attend as often as you like (no limit). One recommendation is to attend the Office Hours on the week's between your live Zoom workshops. The office hours are on zoom. You should receive a recurring appointment (calendar invite) so it should appear on your calendar. You can also click the button to the right at the designated time. (It's OK to arrive late to Office Hours if you need to.)
